This is our first contest, which I hope will be followed by many more.
Heres a quick run down of what will be happening:
* This particular contest consists of several rounds in which participants are required to craft one item following a particular theme.
* Each participant will have one week to make and post pictures of their item, which can be anything as long as they follow the given theme.
* Voting will then start - this will be done in the form of a poll, so that no one will know who has voted for who. Everyone is entitled to one vote each.
* The entries with the most votes will go through to the next round where a new theme will be given. This process will continue until we have a winner.
What about prizes?
You'll be pleased to know that we have some beautiferous prizes to be won We have three sets of goodness:

I want to enter very, very much, but I have a coursework deadline AND I'm going away, for the second date.
And it sounds so fab as well! There will HAVE to be another one. The prizes are amazing. (Not that I'm all about prizes, or anything...)
Oh well. I guess I can't complain, seeing as how I'm going to Vancouver, haha.

Craft Idol II for me too, I think sadly...
Or happily...lots and lots of "other career" work has fallen into my lap, mostly undeservedly!
I shall be an avid spectator for this one.

I'm hoping there will be another at some point. The response has been quite good so far.
I'm trying to think of other interesting ideas for any future contests which happen.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Vancouver Nush |

For future rounds, themes will be announced on Saturday morning with the results of who is through to the next round. You will be allowed to start crafting straight away if you want to, but will only be allowed to post your entries between Monday and Sunday.
I have also set proper dates for each round which have been highlighted above in blue. Or if you're feeling lazy today here they are again:
ROUND 1:THEME - PIRATES
Posting Period Starts - Mon 13/03
Posting Deadline - Sun 19/03
Voting Starts - Mon 20/03 - Fri 24/03
Results announced - Sat 25/03
ROUND 2: THEME -
Posting Period Starts - Mon 27/03
Posting Deadline - Sun 02/04
Voting Starts - Mon 03/04 - Fri 07/04
Results Announced - Sat 08/04
ROUND 3: THEME -
Posting Period Starts - Mon 10/04
Posting Deadline - Sun 16/04
Voting Starts - Mon 17/04 - Fri 21/04
Results Announced - Sat 22/04
FINAL: THEME -
Posting Period Starts - Mon 24/04
Posting Deadline - Sun 30/04
Voting Starts - Mon 01/05 - Fri 05/05
Results Announced - Sat 06/05
If you haven't signed up but want to then do it now! . You have until Sunday to sign up.
I'll send some reminders to all people involved throughout the contest.
Good Luck everyone _________________

Pirates....Pirates...I've been walking round all day muttering 'pirates' under my breath! I have no clue what I'm doing yet but we'll see.
PLEASE PLEASE don't pick clowns as a theme though..I suffer badly from Coulrophobia and it would kill me. _________________

Hey guys, just a reminder that you should have your entry posted by midnight on Sunday. I can't delay for anyone because it will mess up my dates (sorry )
I've changed the way we will be voting. I was initially going to set up a poll but, although I trust you all, if done that way I won't be able to make sure that people are following the rules.
There are only 2 rules to follow when voting:
1. Every member of the forum is allowed to vote once in each round.
2. Competition participants are allowed to vote, but they must not vote for themselves.
I will post to let you know how to vote on sunday night. Until then, keep up the good work. All of the entries look fab, it's going to be so hard to choose _________________
